Yay!

It has been about 4 years since I've made a thread on any forum for my artwork. Laziness, I guess. Within the past year or so I've been sketching more and I have just recently been accepted to the Cleveland Institute of Art (yesterday I got my acceptance letter, lol!) So, maybe this is a good time to make another one of these things? Haha.

These are a few pieces I put in my portfolio for college. I'll note the dates of completion:


Finished this in late December, so less than a month ago.


This is less than two weeks old.


LOL. It's Donald! I did this early 2007 as an assignment in Art IV.


Done in early December, drawn for the school newspaper (I'm their cartoonist).


Annnndddd I'm pretty sure I finished this in November. Observational drawing of a little figurine I have.

I'll try and post some more soon. =)

Lol the Donald one made me laugh when I saw it. And the detail shading on the horse is amazing o_o It's nice to see fresh new art work ^_^.

Did you use pastel for the purple suit one? Or what was it done by? Very nice and detailed coloring on that one.
The picture of the girl in blue is very nicely done, I like how the blue and white blends together to make such dramatic look.
The comic was very detailed, and it made me laugh!
And I love how you did the shading on the horse, it is fabulous o.o I don't know how I can use all the words I know to describe how amazing this is. These are beautiful O____o <3333

Thank you! I'm not sure what I'll major in yet, I don't have to declare a major until second year so I'll just explore the basic classes until then. =)

The purple pimp suit ( lol ) was all done with colored pencil. Prismacolor ones, in specific. The same was used for the red headed girl.

And the horse picture was actually done with a regular old mechanical pencil! Haha, I have some of those fancy charcoal/graphite shading things but I think mechanical pencils give you much more precision if you know how to work them the right way.

I love the drawing of the horse the most. It's so detailed and beautiful. Haha the Donald Trump one made me LOL! xDD

Very nice work Tsuna! Im surprised by your recent work here because i dont recall you being this good. at this rate you could be a really great artist in no time. Out of all the work, i like the first one the most. Trump one looks really pro. As for constructive comments, hard to say. I think your style of art is kind of mysterious with somewhat dark and classical themes if you know what i mean. If thats what youre most comfortable with and what you excel at the most then i hope u dont make my mistake of neglecting other art styles. I found that i really limited my ability and potential by just restricting myself to one type of art style. but meh, maybe thats just me lol

Ok, so first semester of art school ended Friday so I've got a lot of drawings from my FND Drawing class I'd like to get uploaded and stick up here soon. So, this is serving as a reminder to me to get on that! Hahah.

And just so there's something else to show until I get those up I drew this yesterday (just for fun, not school related):

Damn, your work is making me miss how much I used to love drawing Really like your latest, what pencil hardness grade did you use to draw the eyebrows?(I always failed at drawing them lol). Anyways great stuff, show us more! +_+

Think I used just a plain B. Rest of the shading was a 4B. Yeah, especially with hair and stuff just need to keep the pencil as sharp as possible! Will get that other stuff up within the next few days.

Here's 6 assignments I did for my Drawing course. There's more, but these are the ones I brought home with me. Everything else is stashed in my dorm!

They're all 18x24 except the last which is like... 24x32 or something like that. Weird size. And all done with conte and charcoal.

Perspective drawing, weird take on it. Professor didn't really like this one, haha. I like the pumpkin.

My 3 favourite pieces would have to be...
The Lightbulb - There's just something about this, something that's so serene?
The Purple Pimp Suit - LOL - The coloring is very well done! (As with the Red Haired Girl).
The Horse - The detail is impeccable just like the shading! A very well drawn piece.

Also, I'd love to see some photography! The past year and a half maybe? I've become increasingly interested in it.

Love the last piece you submitted. I've never really tried pastels yet lol. Maybe some darker shadows on the left (from our point of view) might make it look even better? XD I dunno just my opinion, but overall, awesome job <3

Thank you. ;D Yeah I hadn't used pastels for like 4 years before drawing that, they're very easy to use! Just kind of messy. And easy to get your colors really saturated.
